SERVING ON A SUNDAY

When the family of Anthem gathers, there are opportunities to serve.  We call those that serve on a Sunday “hosting teams” because the family gathers at our house, and we have guests coming to our house and we want to serve them well.  Everyone who serves is a host, and everyone who hosts is serving.

We have 3 requirements everyone on the hosting team to meet (although ministries such as Anthem Kids, Youth, Anthem Worship and Production will have further requirements):

  • Love Jesus
  • Love the Church (in this case, Anthem)
  • Be on a journey towards Jesus

You can benefit the world around you by serving others with

  • Your Gifts and Passions
  • Your Life Experiences
  • Your Redemptive Story

At Anthem, we believe that we are called to serve God through serving others in both

 GIFT

 and

Chore

Which means that during the week we serve God with our gifts, and then on a Sunday we sometimes serve the family in chores.

All of us are called to serve God faithfully with our gifts, where we work every day, as well as our chores, when the family gathers.  Your highest calling is not to serve the church, but to serve God faithfully with your gifts during the week, and in chore on a Sunday when the church gathers.
