True community is built on relationships of people who know each other and the Life Groups are where that happens best. God’s intention in creation is that we would model how He lives in community as a tri-une God. We were made to need each other whether our lives are going well or not. Together, we are supported as we grow, we face troubles with more courage and wisdom, our victories are celebrated with more joy, and life is just better! Contact us for more information or to find a group that would work for you.

Small Groups have one simple purpose: to bring people together. God created us to live in community with others, and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us.

Our Small Groups are a place for you to

Find someone that you can know beyond a simple greeting

Be known

Find someone who knows you beyond a simple greeting

Our Small Groups have two purposes.  A place for you to

With people who love and care for you

To be challenged to live a life that honors Jesus.

Life Groups meet regularly, usually in people’s homes. Try a few and see where you ‘click’ and then enjoy getting to know a core group of friends that quickly become family as we walk life’s journeys together, sharing in each other’s joys and troubles, asking questions and growing in our faith. Some groups study scripture, some sing together, some eat and laugh, some pray, some cycle! But through it all we find a safe place to be discipled into Christlikeness.

1.Our groups are “free market”

We want people to gather together based on things they enjoy and are important to

them. Essentially, the things you are already doing in your life are the things that can

make up your Small Group!

2. Our groups have “on ramps” and “off ramps”

Life flows in seasons, and we want to make it easy for you to be in the right Small Group

for you in each season.

3. Everyone can join a group

Our hope is for every person at Anthem to be connected in meaningful community

through a Small Group. With a number of groups to choose from, we are confident there

is a group that is a great fit for you.  Our Small Groups are our primary vehicle for care within Anthem.

4. Anyone can host a group

We believe hosting a group is simple because we all have something to offer others.

Whether it’s something you are passionate about, an experience you’ve had that can

help others, or an area in which you are looking to grow, hosting a group is a great way

to bring people together in meaningful community.

You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

Acts 20:20

We have various Small Groups available:

These are groups that meet weekly or bi-weekly. They are typically made up of families

and single people who want to share their lives together. Some groups gather around a

particular interest (e.g. mountain biking) and some gather because they are at a similar

stage in life (e.g. new parents, students, grandparents). Meeting times, places and styles

vary according to the leaders of each individual group.

These groups are typically smaller – think of them as Life Group lite! Normally between 3

and 6 people, again gathering around a common interest or stage in life, and meeting for

typically an hour during the week, before work, during lunch or after work.
